Deleting Your Account

At Hearthmates, we value your trust and are committed to protecting your privacy. If you've decided to delete your account with us, please follow the steps outlined below.

How to Delete Your Account:​

1. Sign in to the Hearthmates app.

2. From the Main Screen, tap the hamburger icon to open the main menu and select Account Settings.

3. Once the Account Settings screen loads, scroll to the bottom and tap the Delete Account button.

4. A confirmation dialog will appear. If you are certain you want to proceed, confirm the dialog option. Please be aware that this action is irreversible. Your account deletion request will then be processed immediately and you will be signed out of the app on completion.

What Will Be Deleted:

• Personal Information:  Your profile, including your name, email address, photos, and preferences.

• Account Data:  Your messages, matches, and other in-app activity.

• User Content:  Any content you have uploaded or shared within Hearthmates.

What Will Be Retained:

• Transaction History:  For legal and compliance reasons, we may retain your transaction history for a period of 7 years.

• Aggregated Data:  Non-identifiable, aggregated data may be kept for analytical and improvement purposes.

Additional Information:

• Processing Time:  Please allow up to 15 mins for your deletion request to be fully processed.

• Recovery:  Once your Hearthmates account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Ensure that you have saved any important information before proceeding.
